Reawakening Your Photographic Vision

This workshop is a unique opportunity to look closely at your own creativity, develop ways to deepen your vision and find new paths or creative outlets for your photography. With a smaller than normal maximum class size (8) we will explore the notion of what it means to be lost, directionless or stuck, and how this fertile ground can be used to explore who you are as an artist and reawaken what your artwork is about and how you can use the new information to move your art or career forward.

Inspiration will be sparked by a balance of conversation, demos, portfolio reviews, writing excercizes, shared readings and personal reflection. Photographic exercises will be a big part of this experience, with individual attention given. One on one and small group pairings will create a progressive and dynamic environment for learning and sharing. Fun, laughter and introspection are to be expected.

Intensive class sessions will be held mornings and early afternoons with the rest of the afternoon open for hiking, soaking or personal exploration. Evening gatherings after dinner most nights. Then join us for a soak under the stars...

This class may also be appropriate for artists of other disciplines who may want to 'cross-train' their artistic muscles using photography. Technical proficiency is not required—the emphasis will be on seeing rather than on equipment.

Breitenbush Hot Springs is located in the mountains near Detroit, Oregon about 2 hours Southeast of Portland.

Cost:

Cost: $295 ($265 if registered by 1/3) plus lodging (view lodging options/rates). Access to hot springs, hot tubs, sauna etc. are also included with cost of lodging.
